Our museum houses a wide range of materials related to sediment-related disasters such as soil runoff, landslides, collapses, debris flows, and avalanches that occur throughout Japan and around the world. We have a wealth of materials on sediment-related disasters and erosion control, including disaster records and restoration work records from the Meiji era onward, as well as records and video materials of erosion control projects that have been implemented worldwide through international technical cooperation.
Additionally, there is the "Akagi Masao Library," the personal collection of Akagi Masao (1887-1972), known as the "father of erosion control," who dedicated his life to eliminating landslides.
