SABO (Erosion Control) Card Exhibition

We have a permanent exhibition of SABO (erosion control) cards from all over Japan.
Whenever we display a new card, we will update the "Card Title List" above, which will clearly indicate the card title and issuer.

What is a SABO (erosion control) card?

The "SABO (Erosion Control) Card" is a card-type promotional brochure created to widely promote the appeal of erosion control facilities.
The size is a convenient 63 x 87 mm for easy carrying. The front side features a photograph of the erosion control facility, while the back side contains information such as location, river name, type, and administrator, as well as technical details and surrounding area information, with each publisher adding their own unique touches.
Since its initial distribution in 2016 by the Nagano Prefectural Civil Engineering Department's Erosion Control Division and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's Tateyama Erosion Control Office, it has spread to various parts of the country.
In addition to these "SABO (Erosion Control) Cards," our museum also exhibits other cards featuring erosion control facilities, such as "Kyushu Infrastructure Cards," "Erosion Control Site Cards," and "Disaster Legacy Cards." We invite you to experience the diverse world of these unique cards.
